Sarah's excited! She's going out for New Year's Eve with several of her friends, and she managed to find someone to watch Annabelle until the next morning, so they can stay out as late as they want.

She finishes putting on her makeup and checks her hair and clothes one more time, smiling to herself, then heads downstairs to wait. This is going to be so much fun!

I saw an ad in the paper for a local bar that's having a New Year's Eve party. I'm sure the neighbor's daughter would be willing to babysit for me that night; Will's out of state right now and I don't want to go alone, so...

Anyone want to go with me? It'll be fun! :)

Oh, I forgot I need to renew my car tags this month...I should do that tomorrow.

I've been making bi-weekly calls to my mother ever since everyone's gone missing to see if there's been any articles on 'giant robots' in the tabloids, and still nothing useful...I'm really worried, and I want to help more, but I can't think of how.

Has anyone else found anything?

Yes! We finally got internet and cable, and all of our stuff is finally squared away. The old house sold for more than we anticipated, too, so that's a little bit of extra money in our pockets.

Hmm, that reminds me. I need to go grocery shopping tomorrow.



......I caught up on my shows, and I swear I saw Chromia and Firestar on So You Think You Can Dance.

Well, we found a house, and we've moved most of the furniture and other things over by now; it's going to take a couple of days for us to get things arranged and finalize the selling of the old property. The cable company said they wouldn't be able to get anybody over to set up our TV and internet until Monday at the earliest, so I'll only be reachable by my cellphone for a little bit.

Optimus, I haven't heard anything yet, though I've been making sure to keep an eye out.

Will and I were thinking of finding a house closer to the base, somewhere where we wouldn't have to drive for hours if we wanted to visit or vice versa. There are some nice houses only an hour away, and they're reasonably priced. Good neighborhood, too, from the looks of it.

I'm also going to have to find a job again. I hate searching for jobs, and I've been unemployed for over a year now. My last one, before Annabelle was born, was McDonald's. ...I hope I can find one I actually like, that pays decently.

I called Mom earlier today, and we talked for a few hours. Mostly about the family, and when I'm going to be able to go visit everyone again. There's something planned in early June, and I'm hoping I'll be able to make it; I haven't seen several of them in years. Apparently, I have a nephew I didn't know about.

...I won't tell them about all of you; a lot of them probably wouldn't believe me anyways.

Mom is demanding I come home and visit soon...though I have to admit, I do miss her and dad.

I don't know if I can right now, though. She's going to be mad. D:

Annabelle's first birthday is next Wednesday!

It feels like it was just yesterday when I left the hospital with her; she was so tiny. It's a tradition on Earth to throw a party on someone's birthday, and this is one of those special years...I'm not planning anything big, just a small get-together with anyone that wants to come. :)
